Fur The Heart is an owner assisted dog training program located in Central North Carolina, but have multiple trainers and trainer apprentices in South Carolina, and Virginia. Our trainers are CPD certified in canine behavior and psychology, and complete a minimum of 260 hours per year. Trainer apprentices may assist in the training process of a dog with the helpful guidance of one of our  instructors. Multiple of our trainers are also certified trick-dog instructors and evaluators. We specialize in training Service Dogs for the disabled and Therapy dogs for volunteers who visit with nursing homes or other facilities. However we also offer Behavioral Consultations, Multilevel Obedience Training and Trick-Training to help all dogs (including pets) have an outlet for their energy, learn manners and stay out of shelters! Millions of dogs are surrendered, and euthanized in shelters every year due behavioral issues. Many of which could have been corrected with proper training for both the dog and owner. 

We understand that every dog is unique, which is why we offer individualized training plans that are tailored to meet the specific needs of each dog and their owner.

•GROUP LESSONS:

We offer group lessons and field trips so you and your dog can learn alongside others! This is a great opportunity for you and your dog to meet other people with similar goals

•PRIVATE LESSONS:

This is for 30 minutes to an hour of private instruction with one of our trainers. This can be held in-home or in a public environment, whichever 

best suits the need for the purpose of the session.

•VIRTUAL SESSIONS:

This is a useful resource for those times where you need to talk out problem areas you are experiencing during training. A trainer is live and helps refine skills the team is working on. This is also a great option for those who are too far to join us in person.
